How WCAG Fairview got it’s start
The Story of WCAG Fairview begins in Watford City, North Dakota. Watford City Assembly of God, under the direction of Pastor Sheldon McGorman has always had a heart to plant churches. It was this desire that led them to plant churches around the world through giving funds to advance the gospel and build churches. Watford City Assembly of God felt as though God was asking them to make a regional impact in addition to their impact abroad. Several people were driving over the Richland County area to go to church in Watford City, and that is when the church started the initiative to plant a church in Fairview. “It’s our belief that the local church works best locally”. WCAG wanted to provide a place where those who had been traveling so far to church could bring their friends and neighbors, as well as provide a church home for people in Fairview who do not yet have one.
